The history
The roots of the Stagnari family sink back in Geneva. From that Italian harbor arrived Paolo Stagnari Raimondi by 1880, a Garibaldi supporter, just as is documented by the „Héreo de Tres Mundos“ statue, which still stands in the family farm. As years and generations go by, today Don Hector Nelson Stagnari with his daughters Graciela y Virginia continue restlessly in the tradition of growing vines and wines making.
Winemaking
The harvest is handmade and the vinification is done by paracel. After a strict selection of the bunches, taking good care of the integrity of the grapes through the whole process; selected yeasts with different characteristics according to each variety are inoculated and fermented under controlled temperature. After a maturing period in French or American oak, the wine is bottled without cold stabilization in oder to keep its qualities untouched, so that, after sometime small natural substances may appear, but they do not affect the sensory quality of the wine.
our vineyards
Our vineyards are placed in the region of „Santos Lugares“ and Melilla“, where the soil is geologically composed by „La Paz Granite“, aged between 500 and 600 million years. This kind of pink granite, with particular features, is only found in this part of the country, it’s composed by feldespato, quartz and mica. Over this geological frame, where sandy-clayed soils of little depth have developed, is exactly where our vineyards give birth to „Del Pedregal“ wines.

Our wines
Drinking them means to know our history. To discover through a path of sensations a road which goes through the vinestock and the bunches, makes a pause in the cask, gets excited with the turbulence of the must and finally rests, inside the silent darknesss of the bottle’s shelter.
