Los Cerros de San Juan
Press Short item
A qualification of 90 points from the Wine & Spirit magazine of New York to an exceptional Uruguayan tannat Los Cerros de San Juan has been extraordinary qualified by the specialized magazine Wine & Spirit (February 2006 Edition), as the holder of one of the best and most authentic tannats in Uruguay, the 2002 Colonia S Torrens Oak Reserve Tannat. This prestigious worldwide magazine defines it as a solid and powerful wine with blackberry and coal flavour. Standing out its tannins as hard and intense, and with a vigorous and firm acidity. The Wine & Spirit experts consider these elements fair to demonstrate its potential and the appeal of its ageing in oak. A real Uruguayan Tannat qualified with 90 points, the best punctuation for a Uruguayan wine. This distinction is added to the already given by the well-known Wine Spectator magazine (January 2006 Edition), that qualified it with 83 points, one of the highest punctuations given to a Uruguayan wine. Without any doubt an exceptional wine, pride of our viticulturist industry.
